CyPAD
The CyPAD (Cyber Preventation Awareness Detection) of Delhi Police functions under the Special Cell of Delhi Police and is a specialised unit that handles all complex and
sensitive cases of cyber crime including those in which victims are women and children. The CyPAD is equipped with a
state-of–the-art Cyber Lab now known as NCFL( National Cyber Forensics Lab) having cyber forensic capabilities such as extraction of deleted data from Hard Disks and mobile phones,
imaging and hash value calculation, forensic servers, portable forensic tools for on-site examination, facility to extract data from
latest Android and iOS phones as well as Chinese phones.
The CyPAD is also spearheading the cyber safety awareness drive of Delhi Police through
development of standardized awareness modules containing videos, short films, PPTs, FAQ, Quizzes and Do’s & Don’ts.
The Cell regularly undertakes awareness workshop for teachers and students of schools across Delhi.
The CyPAD in its endeavour to strengthen the cyber investigation capabilities of Delhi Police has trained
over 860 Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors of District Cyber Cells and Police Station Cyber Teams in cyber crime investigation.
The CyPAD aims to lead the policing efforts in Delhi in the field of cyber crime investigation and cyber safety. Through this website, the Cell strives to take the Cyber
safety efforts to the common citizens of Delhi and to help them in protecting themselves through safe online habits and better reporting of Cyber Crime.
